Spirax‐Sarco Engineering plc is a thermal energy management and niche pumping specialist. It comprises three world‐leading businesses: Steam Specialties, for the control and management of steam; Electric Thermal Solutions, for advanced electrical process heating and temperature management solutions; and Watson-Marlow, for peristaltic pumping and associated fluid path technologies. The Steam Specialties and Electric Thermal Solutions businesses provide a broad range of fluid control and electrical process heating products, engineered packages, site services and systems expertise for a diverse range of industrial and institutional customers. With this comes a responsibility to preserve and protect natural resources, to support people and the planet by operating responsibly and helping our customers and suppliers to do the same.
Our refreshed Sustainability strategy One Planet: Engineering with Purpose is our commitment to sustainability, as well as our roadmap to building a more sustainable future. Launched in June 2021, this Group strategy consists of four strategic sustainability objectives that are aligned to the UN Sustainable Development Goals and aim to deliver climate and environmental action, customer sustainability, resilient supply chains and stronger communities.
One of the four objectives is to achieve net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2030 (Scopes 1 &2), with related targets including 100% of electricity to be sourced or self-generated from renewable sources and 100% of our vehicle fleet to be electric. We are working with a carbon accounting consultancy to help us to quantify our Scope 3 emissions and establish a Scope 3 reduction target.
